Japan Karate Shotorenmei (JKS)

Yutaka Koike turned to Karate at the age 15. In 1990 he enrolled at TEIKYO University under the guidance of Kagawa sensei. He reached the 2nd place in the JKA All Japan Championship Kumite. After having graduated as a JKA instructor in 2000 he went to Switzerland and trained the SKAS Swiss Kader until 2003.

His dream came true and he started to travel around the world and teaches Karate in Europe as well as in USA and Canada. As an openminded master of martial arts his courses are very appriciated by the karate-kas all over the world. His teaching of unarmed combat that is in line with the roots of the karate tradition is a sinthesies of technical perfection, deep knowledge of body movements and perceiving the Gi energy during performing Kata or Kumite. Sensei Koike sees his do as shin - gi - tai (spirit - technique - body).
